NURENBERG - GERMANY

We are now in the land of INFAHRTS and UTFAHRTS but the one we liked most was GOTT FAHRT as you leave a city! Basically meaning HAVE A SAFE JOURNEY.

The road from Innsbruck to Nurnberg via Munich was extremely busy, scary even, but it was Saturday so people were probably rushing about going to sports events and visiting.

We arrived in Nurnberg to find they were holding what they call a "Blue Light Festival", which seemed a bit like the Edinburg Festival and drew a large crowd.

Because of the festival all secure car parking was taken up and we were obliged to park on the street. Theres our car over there next to the white car. Looks a good spot particularly as it is visible from our Hotel window.

Can't see why this would be a problem so I just parked it among others doing the same. Didn't notice the wheeny sign up the post to the left indicating"No Parking". Next morning, Sunday, I notice from the window a policeman writing out tickets.

Tadaaah!

NURNBERG TRIAL COURT

We visited the site of the Nurnberg trials.

After World War 2, the Allies, USA, Great Britain, France, and Russia, decided to hold the trials of the NAZI's in Nurnberg because it was considered to be the centre of Germany. There is a museum there now.

This is Court 600. Where the trials were held. It's still being used today so is sometimes closed to visitors.

Part of the museum.

On the road to Prague. Beautiful countryside and hardly any traffic.
