Cathy sells her PROTON on the internet and is very proud of herself. We buy Andrew and Rebecca's LAND ROVER to replace it.
Glenn and I go to the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) to watch a test match between Australia and India.
There is a lot of PINK on display because the day is dedicated to Breast Cancer Research (The Glenn Magrath Foundation)
Not everyone is concentrating on cricket ! The "Fun Police" confiscate the beach ball as soon as it goes over the perimeter fence. Booo!
Drinks time.
Hussey gets a Ton (100 runs)
The kids play at lunch break.
Clarke reaches 300 on the way to 330 not out. Yes, that's a lot and yes, it gets pretty boring! But as you can imagine it takes a lot of skill and determination to get there.
Glenn with two business associates who were there with us.
The Indians were rowdy but kept up their enthusiasm despite their team getting demolished out in the middle!
We've had a lot of rain in the last nine months. Here is Mahalia suitably dressed.
When it rains with us - it RAINS! We arranged to have our driveway surfaced in November. The contractor
said it would be necessary for the ground to dry out before they could do it. He has only managed one third up to the time we left on May 12th!
We have had this lake at the gate for months. We are thinking of giving it a name. LAKE'S ENTRANCE perhaps?
One of our resident Wallabies.
We don't see a lot of them so we were pleased when one showed up to entertain us on Mahalia's visit.
Kira turned 14 on April 26th so we had a party. Rebecca's dad Barry and his wife Sue are in the background.
After all the rain Glenn and his business partner were called out to repair leaks at a rental property they have at Cessnock in The Hunter Valley wine district about 100km north of Sydney. I went with them to lend a hand.
This is the backyard of the property which has a common boundary -
with a large block they own next door surrounded by private housing. It's a long winded business but they hope to develop the sites eventually.
The job complete after a days work.
Watch out Beckham we have a soccer player in training.
Give it to me - give it to me!! Not sure what I am going to do when I get it though! Makes it doubly hard when the opposition looks almost the same as your lot!
How would you like it done?
These are Eric and Rosy, two Muscovy ducks, part of the menagerie at Green Acres across the road. Shortly afterwards they found Rosy hidden in some bushes and sitting on 17 eggs! Unfortunately after a long wait the few that hatched did not last long. Not surprising really as they were the product of brother and sister. Eric took off in the middle of it all and has never been seen again. I hear mutterings "Typical bloke"!
Some of the hens with Frankie, the cockerel who learnt to crow recently all by itself.
