PRE - TOUR DE FRANCE

Every year about this time, in France, those along the chosen route for the Tour-de-France cycle race make special preparations.

The old Citroen showed up at just the right moment!

This last picture was taken on the final kilometre of the 4th Stage at Mur-de-Bretagne. Tommorrow we are heading off to catch the action along this route which comes within 20 minutes of Guemene-sur-Scorff.

After the 3rd Stage Australian hopeful Cadel Evans is lying third so we are going along to do our bit to cheer him on. Of course, if an American, Canadian, English, Dutch or French competitor is doing well we silently support them as well!!

The weather has been so perfect the last few days that I couldn't resist adding a few local pictures.

This is a view looking down the street towards our house (White gate in the distance). The hedge to the left hides our garden (Thank goodness!)

This is the Grand Moulin (Grand flour mill - as was) which is opposite our house. It was built in 1664 by English Protestant masons.

Our friend Gails' back lawn which I have just mowed. Gails back in Australia.
