WAITSFIELD -VERMONT
Barry and Sue see us off.
We stay at “The Inn At The Round Barn” at Waitsfield. Waitsfield is at the northern end of the state of Vermont about 80 Km south of the Canadian border and on the edge of the Green Mountain National Forest. It rained for much of the journey (The first wet day we have had since arriving in North America!) but we could see enough to realise how beautiful it must look in the Fall (ie Autumn). We were travelling through mountains covered in trees all the way.
Barry and Sue guided us to the entrance to route 91 which goes north/ south and waved us goodbye. At least I think that’s what they did! As soon as went up the ramp the first sign we see is 90 which is East/West. Fortunately there was an escape hatch immediately so we ended up in Riverdale Shopping Centre! We repeated this three times eventually deciding to ignore the first sign as we could see a feeder road with 91 on it away to the right. After doing a few maneuvers we get on to this feeder route to discover that route 90 and 91 are one and the same for a KM or so!
A covered bridge.
Another one. Cathy in hire car emerging.
